Our company recognizes that personal information obtained from individuals involved in our business activities (including customers, business partners, shareholders, and employees, collectively referred to as "Individual" or "Individuals") is closely related to their personal rights and interests. We are committed to handling this information appropriately and carefully, in accordance with the philosophy of respecting individual dignity (protection of privacy). We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Personal Information Protection Act" or "Act") and other relevant laws. Therefore, we have established the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of personal information related to Individuals (hereinafter referred to as "Personal Information") and information related to transactions with our company (including information about dealings with individuals and corporations as well as information that our company becomes aware of during such transactions, hereinafter referred to as "Transaction Information"). However, if any provision of this Policy conflicts with the terms of an individual contract with Individuals, the provisions of the contract shall take precedence.
I. Protection of Personal Information
- We will comply with the Personal Information Protection Act, the guidelines related to this Act, and other relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines. We will adhere to generally accepted practices for handling Personal Information and will handle it appropriately. Additionally, we will continuously strive to improve our handling of Personal Information.
- We will clearly define regulations regarding the handling of Personal Information and ensure that they are thoroughly communicated to our officers and employees, as well as others engaged in our company's operations. We will also request that our service providers handle Personal Information appropriately.
- When acquiring, using, or providing Personal Information, we will specify the purpose of utilization of personal information (hereinafter referred to as "Purpose of Utilization”) and either notify or publicly announce it, or obtain consent of the Individuals. We will handle Personal Information in such a way that it is not used beyond the scope necessary to achieve the Purpose of Utilization.
- In handling Personal Information, we will, in principle, manage it appropriately within the scope necessary to achieve the Purpose of Utilization.
- To prevent and rectify unauthorized access to Personal Information, as well as its leakage, destruction, loss, or alteration, we will implement necessary measures and ensure appropriate security management. We will also strive for continuous improvement.
- 6. For the Personal Information we hold, we will sincerely respond to requests from Individuals for disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use at a designated contact point. Additionally, we have established a dedicated contact point to sincerely address any complaints or inquiries related to Personal Information from Individuals.
II. Purpose and Scope of Use of Personal Information and Transaction Information
Our company will use Personal Information and Transaction Information within the scope of the purposes listed below. Additionally, to facilitate our operations, we may outsource some tasks and provide Personal Information or Transaction Information to service providers to the necessary extent. In such cases, we will enter into agreements concerning the handling of Personal Information and Transaction Information with these providers and carry out appropriate supervision.

(10)Creation of statistical data for management analysis and utilization of analysis results
(11)Responding to disclosure requests based on the Personal Information Protection Act and monitoring and auditing the handling of Personal Information
(12)Various reviews and investigations (including investigations of contract or legal violations, improper, unfair, or inappropriate contracts or procedures, and related acts or events)
(13)Management of various contracts
(14)Administration and management related to stocks
(15)Exercise and fulfillment of rights and obligations based on laws and regulations
(16)Employment (including reemployment), personnel management, and management of employee welfare and benefits
(17)Responding to inquiries and communicating with Individuals
(18)Joint use and provision to third parties in accordance with the provisions of this Policy
(19)Other purposes necessary for the execution of operations related to the above items
III. Joint Use
Our company will jointly use Personal Information and Transaction Information within the following scope.

(1)Name, address, date of birth, phone numbers, email address, contact person’s name, and information related to payments such as financial account information, obtained from Individuals
(2)Information related to transaction status with our company (including purchase, usage, payment, and cancellation history of Products as well as other transaction-related information known to our company)
(3)Information related to payments (including financial institution information, credit card payment and usage status, and other payment methods information) -
Scope of Joint Users
The scope of joint users includes our subsidiaries, affiliated companies, and their partner companies. These joint users operate in the following businesses:- Supply and sale of electricity
- Supply and sale of gas
- Telecommunications business
- Insurance business (including insurance agency operations)
- Financial business (including lending, leasing, and installment sales)
- Home delivery water service
- Collection agency and payment processing business
- Human resources business (including recruitment and staffing services)
- Business planning and alliance business
- Sale of office equipment and electronic devices, as well as sales of goods and provision of various services
- Content planning, development, and management business
- System development and operation business
- Information platform business for providing and connecting various types of information
- Reservation business
- Alcohol sales business
- Employee benefits business
- Other businesses incidental or related to the above items

IV. Joint Use of Personal Information of Officers and Employees Within Group Companies
Our company may jointly use Personal Information regarding officers and employees (including former officers and retirees) which our company obtain.

(1) Name, gender, date of birth, contact information (address, phone number, email address and others), employee number or other uniquely assigned identification numbers, department, position, grade, employment history, transfer history, job authority, family information, and other employee attributes (excluding specific Personal Information)
(2) Information related to personnel evaluations, awards, disciplinary actions, salary, bonuses, retirement benefits, corporate pensions, social insurance, work status, various ceremonial occasions, and other personnel management and welfare information
(3) Educational and training history, qualifications, results of various assessments, and other information related to employee capabilities
(4) Other information acquired and held for personnel and business operation management -
Scope of Joint Users
Our subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as the "Our Group"), companies with which we have secondment agreements, and health insurance providers -
Purpose of Use
Joint use is conducted within the necessary scope for purposes such as employment management (including management of officers) and personnel-related administrative processes, as well as ensuring the health and appropriate working environment of employees. Specifically, this includes the following purposes:
- Conducting appropriate personnel evaluations
- Implementing appropriate placement of personnel through transfers within Our Group
- Discovering and developing talents within Our Group and providing educational and training opportunities
- Establishing personnel systems, related policies, and implementing measures based on analyses of Personal Information
- Creating statistical data necessary for establishing and publishing personnel systems and related policies within Our Group

V. Provision to Third Parties
Our company will not provide Personal Information to third parties except in the following cases:
(1)Cases in which there is a consent of the Individual
(2)Cases in which Personal Information is disclosed or provided in a non-identifiable form such as statistical data
(3)Cases in which disclosure or provision is required by laws and regulations
(4)Cases in which it is necessary for the protection of life, body, or property of a person, and in which obtaining consent of the Individual is difficult
(5)Cases in which it is necessary to cooperate with national or local government bodies in executing public affairs, and in which obtaining consent of the Individual may hinder the execution of such affairs
VI. Safety Management Measures
Our company will establish basic policies and take necessary and appropriate organizational, physical, and technical safety management measures, as well as measures to understand the external environment, to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of Personal Information and ensure its security. If you have inquiries regarding the safety management measures that we implement, please contact the reception desk specified in VIII (3).
VII. Requests for Disclosure
If Individuals wish to request the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to third parties of their Personal Information held by the company (collectively referred to as "Disclosure"), we will verify the identity of the requester and respond in writing in principle, based on the laws and regulations within a reasonable period and scope. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following categories, we may not be able to respond to the request, including clarifying the existence of such Personal Information:
(1)Cases in which disclosure is likely to harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the Individual or a third party
(2)Cases in which disclosure is likely to encourage or induce illegal or unjust acts
(3)Cases in which disclosure is likely to harm national security, damage trust relationships with other countries or international organizations, or cause disadvantages in negotiations with them
(4)Cases in which disclosure is likely to impair the prevention, suppression, or investigation of crimes or the maintenance of public safety and order
(5)Cases in which disclosure is likely to impede significantly the proper conduct of our company's operations
(6)Cases in which it results in a violation of other laws and regulations
VIII. Methods and Contact Points for Receiving Requests for Disclosure
Requests regarding Personal Information subject to disclosure, as mentioned above in VI, and other inquiries related to Personal Information will be accepted through the following method. Please be aware that requests for Disclosure that do not follow this reception method may not be responded to.
(1) Reception Procedure
Please submit your request by mailing it to the reception desk specified in section (3) below.
Depending on the content of the request, you may also need to submit the company's designated application form for disclosure (please refer to the end of this Policy for instructions) and accompanying documents.
When Submission of Application Form is Required
Please submit the application form along with one of the accompanying documents: a copy of a driver's license, passport, health insurance card, or alien registration card, and a document verifying current address (e.g., a copy of a certificate of residence or utility bill). For details, please refer to the end of this Policy.

Please note that the submitted documents will not be returned.
(2) Fees
For requests for disclosure ("Notification of Purpose of Utilization" or "Disclosure of Personal Information"), if you wish to receive a response by mail, a fee of 590 yen per request is required (please bear any changes to postal charges). Please enclose 590-yen worth of postal stamps with your application. Please note that any excess amount will not be refunded.

Supplementary Provisions
This revised Policy will come into effect on November 22, 2024.
